The season finale of Marvel Studios’ SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW on Disney+ gave the X-Men a nice shoutout. During the episode’s meta, fourth wall-breaking sequence, Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) asks a robot KEVIN (aka MCU head Kevin Feige), “Oh! And when are we getting the X-Men?”
That sure had fans wide-eyed. Unfortunately we didn’t get any answers, as he/it responded with “I cannot tell you that.” Darn.
This isn’t the first time the show referenced mutants! Wolverine was also hinted at on a website article that Walters was browsing as “Man fights with metal claws in bar brawl.”
Mutants are slowly being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with multiverse Professor X, Ms. Marvel, Namor, and the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine (a variant?) in DEADPOOL 3. It will be a few more years until we see a proper X-MEN film under Marvel/Disney, but these teases make the wait a bit easier. A bit…
