THE NEW MUTANTS arrives on Disney+

THE NEW MUTANTS is now streaming on Disney+ after a two year stint on HBO and HBO Max, due to contractual obligations between 20th Century Fox and HBO; the film is now home with all legacy X-Men films. Directed by Josh Boone, the movie earned a 35% critics score and a 56% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, and earned $49 million globally at the box office.

The film stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin, Blu Hunt as Dani Moonstar, Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair, Henry Zaga as Roberto DaCosta, Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie, and Alice Braga as Dr. Reyes.

Five teenage mutants — Mirage, Wolfsbane, Cannonball, Sunspot and Magik — undergo treatments at a secret institution that will cure them of their dangerous powers. Invited by Dr. Cecilia Reyes to share their stories, their memories soon turn into terrifying realities as they start to question why they’re being held.
