DEADPOOL 3 rumor points to MCU’s Time Variance Authority playing a role.

According to scooper DanielRPK, Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius and the TVA (from Disney+ series LOKI) will play “a big role” in Marvel Studios’ DEADPOOL 3. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Time Variance Authority are protectors of all timelines and realities in the multiverse. While you should take this rumor with a grain of salt (for now), it does make sense having them being involved. At the end of Deadpool 2, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) used Cable’s (Josh Brolin) time-traveling device to change history in the FoXverse, which very likely caused incursions in the multiverse.

Hmm… are we getting a Deadpool kills the FoXverse threequel? Maybe even… zombie Wolverine ?

In related news, Reynolds tells SiriusXM the film — directed by Shawn Levy — is planned to begin filming “some time just before Summer.”

“We are, quite literally, up to our necks right now in prep and still writing,” he said. “The writing process on Deadpool movies doesn’t really end until they take the movie away from us. Literally, like they have to snatch the microphone out of my hand in the edit room. Production should start hopefully some time just before Summer. But the shooting is the short, easier part. Then it’s the lead-up, the prep, the writing. The shooting’s quick, then you have the edit process. That’s where the movie gets really made [in the] edit room.”

Deadpool 3 is due in theaters in two years on November 8, 2024.
