Keanu Reeves is still interested in playing Marvel’s Wolverine onscreen.

Participating in a Reddit AMA to promote John Wick: Chapter 4, film star Keanu Reeves shared his continued interest in one particular X-Man. When asked by a fan if he had any career regrets, he responded “…No…but I did always want to play Wolverine.”

The Matrix actor hasn’t shied away from proclaiming his fandom for the character, even saying in 2018 that he’d “love to play Wolverine.” Of course, Hugh Jackman is returning to the role for DEADPOOL 3 (and if we’re lucky, AVENGERS: SECRET WARS), so who knows when/if we’ll see another actor wield Logan’s adamantium claws in the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon.

With the multiverse in play, it’d be fun to see Reeves at least show up as a Wolverine variant. Age might be a factor for the fulltime gig if Marvel Studios decides to reboot the X-Men with a younger cast. They’ll surely want Logan to match up (visually) with Jean Grey and Cyclops, even though his healing factor makes his actual age unknown.
