Famke Janssen on possibility of her Jean Grey in the MCU: “Who knows!”

Speaking with CinePOP, actor Famke Janssen was asked if she’s interested in appearing as her version of Jean Grey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Last year saw the return of Patrick Stewart as Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and next year’s DEADPOOL 3 will bring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman into the Marvel Studios fold as Wade Wilson and Wolverine, respectively. Persisting rumors point towards a host of other X-Men making appearances there, and in SECRET WARS (2026).

“I love Jean Grey and the Phoenix very much,” she said. “We all know, Sophie Turner’s done an amazing job stepping in as the younger version of it. Who knows? In that universe, anyone – y’know, multiverses, whatever – [anything] can happen. But I’m grateful for the opportunity. I got to play her five times, in five different movies. It’s been good to me…”
