The anticipation for Marvel Studios’ X-MEN ’97 is high, even with the lack of an official release date announcement. With a few months left in 2023, an 2024 premiere on Disney+ is looking most likely. Lenore Zann, who famously voiced Rogue in the original series, is back! She told Josh Wilding (via ComicBookMovie.com) she’s “grateful” for the chance to reprise her character.
“It’s fantastic to get this opportunity to re-inhabit the character of Rogue who is my favorite character I’ve played to date,” she said. “I’m grateful to the fans for their loyalty and support for our original series – and for my performance – which has made this possible […] I’m also grateful to Beau DeMayo and Charley Feldman from X-Men ’97 for insisting I come back as Rogue.”
What can we expect from revival? “As usual, Rogue will go through a lot in X-Men ’97,” she continued. “Like me, she’s a passionate woman who can’t help wearing her heart on her sleeve. So, buckle up for a wild ride!”
