DEADPOOL 3 star Hugh Jackman Ryan Reynolds introduced a new character in the film… DOGPOOL! “Did Dogpool save the day?” he wrote across social media. “Not a chance in gremlin hell. But she IS currently causing the Disney plushy merch department nightmares. Coming with the movie, Summer 2024 🐶💩L”

You’ll notice Reynolds confirmed the film is still releasing in Summer 2024. DP3 originally had a May 3, 2024 release date, but filming was on hold due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Reports stated they wouldn’t make that date, but production might be hauling ass now that said strike is over. There’s also a potential swap with CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD on July 26, 2024.

In the comics, Dogpool comes from Earth-103173. Like Wolverine and the Weapon X program, “Wilson” was experimented on by the Mascara-X Project. Scientists Von Braun and Eigor wanted to create a formula for Babeline Cosmetics to give customers eternal youth. Believed to be dead, the dog was discarded and later discovered by mischievous local circus performers. Deadpool later recruits them as a member of the Deadpool Corps. — Marvel
