the SUPER🦸 — Marvel Studios dropped an awesome 1-minute spot for their upcoming ECHO series On Disney+ and Hulu. The promo focuses on the bloody intense fight scenes, emphasizing the show’s TV-MA rating. Alaqua Cox stars as the title character, Maya Lopez, with appearances from Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin and Charlie Cox as Daredevil. Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning, Graham Greene and Zahn McClarnon round out the cast.
The origin story of Echo revisits Maya Lopez, whose ruthless behavior in New York City catches up with her in her hometown. She must face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots and embrace the meaning of family and community if she ever hopes to move forward.
Between this, and R-rated pictures like DEADPOOL 3 and BLADE in the future, it’s nice to see Marvel growing up with their audience.
