the SUPER: MCU’s New CAPTAIN AMERICA Suits Up For BRAVE NEW WORLD

Empire Magazine features an exclusive look at Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson suited up in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World. Releasing in theaters on February 14, 2025, the film, directed by Julius Onah, marks Mackie’s first solo outing as Cap on the big screen.

“It’s really his coming-out show,” said Onah. “It’s about putting him through the paces. Part of the challenge for Sam as Captain America, working within the government, is the way he’s going to make decisions. The point of view he’s going to have will at times put him at odds with the President.”

Unlike Steve Rogers before him, Wilson does not have the super soldier serum which provides enhanced stregnth and durability. So the odds are stacked against him; which is part of the fun. “The action in this movie is incredibly exciting because this is a guy who can break, this is a guy who can bleed,” continued Onah. “We get to have a lot of fun pushing him to the limit.”
