Watch the official teaser trailer for Max Original series Creature Commandos, a new animated series from the mind of James Gunn and DC Studios.

“That’s going to be the first expression of James Gunn’s DC Universe,” said executive producer Dean Lorey to The Wrap. “We’re considering that canon, and I think it expresses his perspective, tonally, on where he wants the universe to go.”

The characters and their voice actors are expected to crossover between animation and live-action in the DCU.

Creature Commandos premieres this December on Max.
