Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have released the much-awaited red-band trailer for Mortal Kombat II, joined by a set of character posters. Under the direction of Simon McQuoid (Mortal Kombat), with writer Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy, Moon Knight) based off a story by game creators Ed Boon and John Tobias, the sequel promises even more intense action brutal violence for fans of the long-running video game series.

Karl Urban joins the fight as the flashy and fearless Johnny Cage, alongside returning stars Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax Briggs, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han/Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao. Newcomers include Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.

Mortal Kombat II will hit theaters (and IMAX) on October 24, 2025.
