Speculation continues to swirl around Marvel Studios’ anticipated X-Men reboot, and a recent interview with Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier has only added fuel to the fire.
Speaking with ComicBook.com, Schreier was asked whether he might be involved in Marvel’s upcoming mutant project, and more specifically, if the film could be titled The Uncanny X-Men. His response?
“I can say nothing about that,” he said. “If that’s a thing, then I will take your notes and deliver it to the relevant proper authorities.”
The comments begin around the 12-minute mark in the interview, and Schreier doesn’t give any outright hints. Is he indeed the one steering the ship? For now, it’s all speculation. It’s clear that Marvel is keeping it tightly under wraps, which is just the way they like it.
