One of the most popular picks for Rogue has been Emmy-nominated actress Margaret Qualley, known for her roles in The Substance and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. But fans hoping to see her in the MCU might want to temper their expectations.

During a recent episode of Collider Ladies Night, Collider’s Perri Nemiroff asked Qualley what major franchise she would join if given the chance — and who she would play. Qualley, now 30, laughed off the idea, replying:

“Oh, I don’t think I want to commit to a franchise,” she said. “It seems like a lot of time, and I’m scared [laughs].”

Her response seems to pour cold water on fan hopes, but it’s not exactly a firm no. While Qualley’s talent and charisma have made her a favorite among fans, it seems she’s wary of the long-term commitment that major franchises demand.
