Marvel Comics is set to deliver a major mutant storyline this September with DNX, a five-issue crossover uniting the X-Men and Fantastic Four. Written by Jed MacKay with art by Federico Vicentini, the series centers on a global crisis sparked by the emergence of the X-Virus—a terrifying threat capable of forcibly transforming humans into mutants, putting the entire world at risk.

Behind this catastrophic plan is the Chairman, a corrupted version of Hank McCoy (Beast), leading the villainous organization 3K. His vision for the future stands in direct opposition to the X-Men, particularly Cyclops, as both have witnessed the same ominous timeline following the events of Age of Revelation. While Cyclops is determined to stop that future from becoming reality, the Chairman is intent on making it happen.

As tensions escalate, the X-Men seek the help of the Fantastic Four in a desperate effort to contain the outbreak and save one of their own. Meanwhile, 3K moves forward with its plan to release the X-Virus in a densely populated area, setting the stage for a massive confrontation that could permanently alter the balance between humanity and mutantkind.

MacKay has positioned DNX as a defining chapter in his ongoing X-Men run, bringing long-building storylines to a head with far-reaching consequences. Vicentini, who has expressed excitement about collaborating with MacKay and illustrating both teams, promises a visually striking and emotionally intense experience that fans won’t want to miss.

Adding to the buzz, DNX #1 will feature Marvel’s True Believers Blind Bag editions, packed with exclusive variant covers from top artists and rare collectible surprises. Fans can also get an early preview of the story during Comics Giveaway Day on May 2 in Armageddon/X-Men #1 CGD 2026, offering a first glimpse at the high-stakes event before its official launch.
