On April 16, CinemaCon 2026 became a major stage for Marvel Studios to outline its evolving cinematic future, with a mega-presentation for Avengers: Doomsday. Industry insiders and theater owners packed the room to get a first look at upcoming release. The studio emphasized its commitment to theatrical storytelling, showcasing a new trailer, with appearances from key talent The Russo Bros, Kevin Feige, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Evans.
The new trailer teases a darker, more existential threat than previous Avengers installments, hinting at high stakes that will reshape the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to That Hashtag Show, the trailer shows “Xavier looking at an explosion, Doom rising, a new Avengers tower, Shang-Chi fighting Gambit, Mystique turning into Yelena, Thor does the voiceover.”
Due to crowd demand, the showed the trailer a second time. Upon further inspection, more details were provided: “Xavier’s school is demolished, Wakandans fighting Atlanteans [the Talokans], Xavier and Magneto having an emotional moment, Doom stops Thor’s attack with two fingers. Steve Rogers has long hair and a beard again.”
While appearing on stage, Feige said: “This film takes place where Endgame left off, but also goes back to when it all started with X-Men.” According to Brandon Davis, “he confirmed that Avengers: Endgame will be re-released in September. It will have ‘surprises’ added to it.”
