Amazon MGM Studios has officially released the final trailer for its live-action adaptation of Masters of the Universe, giving their best look yet at the return of He-Man to the big screen. The new footage teases an epic fantasy adventure packed with massive battles, and the legendary power of Grayskull.
The official description attached to the trailer reads: “Over 40 years ago… He saved his universe. He inspired a generation. Now, He-Man returns.” The trailer leans heavily into the legacy of the original franchise while presenting a modern cinematic reimagining of the world of Eternia, complete with sweeping visuals and the classic mythology that longtime fans will instantly recognize.
Originally launched in the 1980s through the wildly successful toy line from Mattel, Masters of the Universe quickly became a pop culture phenomenon thanks to its animated series, comics, and larger-than-life characters including He-Man, Skeletor, Teela, Man-At-Arms, and Evil-Lyn. The new live-action film appears to embrace the elements that helped define the franchise, while introducing the property to a new generation of moviegoers.
Masters of the Universe promises a return to the timeless battle between good and evil, when He-Man raises the Sword of Power in theaters on June 5.
