
DC Studios has officially launched ticket sales for Supergirl, the highly anticipated new feature film from DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures. Alongside the announcement, fans were treated to a new trailer and a collection of striking new posters showcasing the next chapter in DC’s cinematic universe.
Moviegoers can now secure their seats for the film’s theatrical debut, with DC Studios encouraging fans to “Get tickets now and tag who you’re bringing to see #Supergirl – only in theaters and IMAX June 26.”
Starring Milly Alcock in the role of Supergirl and Kara Zor-El, the film follows the iconic heroine on a powerful new adventure. According to the official synopsis:
When an unexpected and ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, reluctantly joins forces with an unlikely companion on an epic, interstellar journey of vengeance and justice.
The film is directed by Craig Gillespie from a screenplay by Ana Nogueira and features an impressive supporting cast that includes Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, and Jason Momoa.
Behind the scenes, Supergirl is produced by DC Studios co-heads Peter Safran and James Gunn. The film is based on characters from DC, with Supergirl originally created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Executive producers include Nigel Gostelow, Chantal Nong Vo, and Lars P. Winther.
The creative team also includes director of photography Rob Hardy, production designer Neil Lamont, editor Tatiana S. Riegel, costume designers Anna B. Sheppard and Michael Mooney, visual effects supervisor Geoffrey Baumann, music supervisor Susan Jacobs, and composer Claudia Sarne.
