Marvel is giving fans a chance to revisit the beginning of one of its biggest animated successes before the next chapter arrives.
Ahead of the July 1 premiere of X-Men ’97 Season 2 on Disney+, Marvel has made the first two episodes of Season 1 available to watch in full on its official YouTube channel. The move gives both longtime fans and newcomers an easy way to jump into the critically acclaimed revival series before the mutants return for their next adventure.
The episodes, “To Me, My X-Men” and “Mutant Liberation Begins,” originally debuted on Disney+ on March 20, 2024, introducing audiences to the continuation of the beloved 1990s animated series and setting the stage for the events that would unfold throughout the season.

Season 2 picks up after the shocking events of the Season 1 finale, with the X-Men scattered across time and facing the looming threat of Apocalypse. Marvel has already released trailers and promotional material teasing the team’s return next month.
For fans who missed the series during its original run, or those who simply want a refresher before the next season begins, the free YouTube release offers the perfect opportunity to catch up before the X-Men are back in action.
