Marvel and Sony have launched the official Spidey Tracker experience today, giving fans a unique way to follow Spider-Man’s activities ahead of next month’s highly anticipated Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
A newly released video features Jacob Batalon, who returns as Ned Leeds, explaining the purpose behind the tracker and inviting fans to keep tabs on Spider-Man’s latest sightings and adventures. The interactive experience is live at SpideyTracker.com.
The launch ties directly into the premise of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which finds Peter Parker navigating a dramatically changed life after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. With the world no longer remembering who Peter Parker is, he has fully embraced life as Spider-Man while struggling to watch his former friends move forward without him.
According to the film’s official synopsis:
“It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna, Erik Sommers, and Justin Kuritzkes, the film is based on the Marvel comic book characters created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo.
