Disney+ has released a new official clip from the opening episode of Marvel Animation’s X-Men ’97 Season 2 titled Days of Past Future, featuring Jean, Cyclops, and their son Nathan in battle with the Horsemen of Apocalypse. They’re later joined by Storm, Forge, Wolverine, and Morph.
It’s a cool sequence with thrilling action, and the animation definitely holds up. Keep an eye out for a fun “cameo.”
X-Men ’97 revisits the iconic era of the 1990s as The X-Men, a band of mutants who use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them, are challenged like never before, forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.
X-Men ’97 premieres this Wednesday, July 1 on Disney+.
