Celebrating X-Men Films And Beyond

What you need to know about… THE WOLVERINE.

THE WOLVERINE will be directed by “3:10 to Yuma” helmer James Mangold. X-MEN vet Hugh Jackman will reprise the iconic role of Wolverine for the 6th time in his career. The praised script was initially written by Christopher McQuarrie, with Mark Momback working on an updated revision with Mangold.

Loosely based on the Frank Miller and Chris Claremont comic series, THE WOLVERINE follows Logan as he treks Japan and falls in love with a woman whose hand is already promised to another. When he doesn’t back down, her powerful crimelord father summons the Silver Samurai and other deadly threats in the X-Men universe to push Logan’s healing-factor to the limit.

Jackman will have to bulk up for Wolverine this Summer after filming “Les Miserabeles” in the Spring. Filming on THE WOLVERINE is anticipated for a late Summer/ early Fall 2012 start. Similar to X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, production may have to move swiftly to meet a potential Summer 2013 release.

Filming will primarily take place in Vancouver, BC Canada and Japan.
