Comic-Con: Cyclops And Gambit Among Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday Costumes On Display

I attended Comic-Con International in San Diego on Thursday, and one of my favorite displays was for Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. It featured the live-action costumes of X-Men members Cyclops and Gambit, along with Invisible Woman, Thor, Captain America, Yelena, and a Latverian Witch. 👀

The designs are comic book-accurate and look as if they were ripped right off the page. The X-shaped design across Cyclops’ upper torso and the small touches of black even harken back to James Marsden’s original X-Men costume. The battle-damaged, worn look suggests that Scott Summers has already been through his share of battles. Gambit’s suit is very similar to his look in Deadpool & Wolverine, with the addition of an X-shaped belt.

Marvel Studios will host a major presentation in Hall H on Saturday, July 25, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. PT, where the trailer will be shown, along with cast appearances, exclusive footage, and a look at what’s ahead for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters on December 18.
