The countdown to Lanterns has officially reached its final stretch, and HBO Max is giving us another reason to get excited for tonight’s premiere. The streamer has released a brand-new behind-the-scenes featurette offering a closer look at DC Studios’ highly anticipated series.
At the heart of Lanterns are two Green Lantern legends who couldn’t be more different: Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Kyle Chandler takes on the role of veteran Lantern Hal Jordan, while Aaron Pierre steps into the role of John Stewart. The new featurette highlights the dynamic between the two characters and the chemistry between the actors, teasing what could become one of the series’ biggest strengths.
The new footage arrives just days after HBO Max released the first five minutes of the opening episode.

With Chandler and Pierre leading the series as two generations of Green Lantern heroes, Lanterns looks to bring a grounded, character-driven take to the DC Universe while putting Hal and John at the center of an investigation that could have much bigger implications.
