Speaking with eTalk, upcoming X-Men reboot actress Inde Navarrette was asked if she could preview her accent for the upcoming 2028 film from director Jake Schreier and Marvel Studios. “Oh, you know what? God bless me, I haven’t done a lot of practice,” she said, caught off guard. “I mean, my version’s just ‘sugar.’ But I think that, you know… I’m gonna work on it, if you don’t like it, and I’m gonna figure out and talk to the Marvel team on what we wanna do.”
Joining Navarrette in the cast is Christopher Abbott (Wolf Man) as Professor X, while Adam Driver (Megalopolis) will play the iconic mutant villain Mister Sinister. Sadie Sink (Spider-Man: Brand New Day) is Jean Grey, with Kit Connor (Heartstopper Forever) taking on the role of Cyclops. Samara Weaving (Ready or Not 2: Here I Come) will portray Emma Frost, Maya Boyd (Broadway’s & Juliet) will play Storm, and Asa Germann (Gen V) will take to the skies as Angel.
Main casting is nearing completion, with four supporting roles still in the process of being filled.
Marvel Studios’ untitled X-Men film is currently scheduled for May 5, 2028.
