Before Inde Navarrette tackles the highly-coveted role of Rogue in the MCU, she’s doing rounds of interviews for Obsession and the awards season, where she’s campaigning for nominations. Appearing on The Kyle Buchanan Show, Navarrette opened about being cast in director Jake Schreier’s untitled X-Men reboot for Marvel Studios.
“I’m personally really excited to just be on set where everybody’s just kind of tapped in and, you know, taking all of the things that I’ve learned from Obsession and applying them to something as as big as Marvel,” she said.
“I’m excited to just kind of again tackle a character that I think I’m super excited about. I mean, there’s so much to her and I can’t wait to get it started. I can’t say too much, but that character, I’m really excited about.”
Speaking on Storm actress, Maya Boyd, Navarrette had nothing but praise, saying “She’s wonderful. She’s amazing. She is such a light. She’s incredibly talented. She’s a triple threat. I’m pretty sure there’s a fourth one in there.”
Filming on X-Men begins early neXt year. It’s currently scheduled for theatrical release on May 5, 2028.
