It has been confirmed that Stewart’s last theatrical film will be Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. This will certainly become an emotional time for his loved ones and fans across the globe as they celebrate his enduring legacy.

Sir Ian McKellen: He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
Hugh Jackman: We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days.
Rebecca Romijn: What a gift to have been your friend. ❤️ Rest in peace, dear Patrick.
Dafne Keen: He was such a kind, genuine, funny, unique, caring and charming man. I remember his endless jokes, nuturing nature and colourful reading glasses. Every single day spent working by his side was an honour and a privilege I can’t quite believe I had.
Marvel Studios: He was a singular talent, a generous collaborator, and a true gentleman.
Kevin Feige: It was a true privilege to know him and to work with him. His legacy lives on not only in decades of extraordinary work, but in the many, many people he mentored. He will be deeply missed.
James McAvoy: Stepping into a role he made iconic was never about replacing him; it was about honoring the legacy he built. I will forever be grateful for the path he paved, both on screen and beyond it. There will never be another Patrick Stewart.
David Hayter: Damn. He was so kind to me on the X-MEN set. I was so touched to see his magical friendship with Ian McKellen bloom on that film. A true gentleman. A wellspring of effortless charisma. A galaxy-spanning talent. Thank you for the memories, Professor.
James Mangold: What an amazing life he led. As a brilliant and tireless actor from stage to screen to TV and back again, as a great collaborator, gentle soul and friend to everyone.. I miss him already.
Famke Janssen: Patrick was a legend. One of the greats.
Bryan Singer: He was far more than a cast member and a friend. He was a teacher. I feel fortunate to have known Patrick, to have learned from him, and to have called him my friend.
Simon Kinberg: A truly great artist. And even greater man.
