the SUPER: Netflix Drops Official Trailer For ALLEN, And It Looks Like E.T. Part Deux

Netflix has released an official trailer for Allen, an upcoming sci-fi adventure that looks like it could deliver a modern twist on the beloved E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. The story follows Petey, who grew up in Queensland, Australia, with an unusual childhood best friend: an alien named Allen. Their friendship left a lasting impression on Petey, but everything changed when Allen suddenly disappeared without saying goodbye.

Twenty years later, Allen makes an unexpected return to Petey’s life, bringing back memories of their childhood friendship. However, this reunion isn’t quite what Petey imagined. Allen is hiding a secret with the potential to change the world, and what initially seems like an incredible second chance at reconnecting with his old friend quickly becomes something much bigger. With the fate of the world hanging in the balance, Petey must finally grow up and find the courage to help Allen save it.

With its mix of extraterrestrial mystery, childhood nostalgia, and a friendship that stands the test of time, Allen appears to to deliver an entertaining sci-fi adventure with shades of E.T. influence.

Allen premieres November 12, exclusively on Netflix.
