Deadline reported earlier that upcoming “Total Recall” actress Jessica Biel had been cast as the deadly Viper in director James Mangold’s THE WOLVERINE. Previous screenplays featured Victoria/ Viper as the mysterious secretary to Japan’s Minister of Justice, Norubo Mori – played by Brian Tee. Hiroyuki Sanada (Shingen Yashida), Tao Okamoto (Mariko Yashida), Will Yun Lee (Silver Samurai, Kenuichi Harada), Rila Fukushima (Yukio) and Hal Yamanouchi (Yashida) fill out the cast, led by Hugh Jackman.
Update: Not so fast! Jessica Biel tells Hitflix that she hasn’t been signed in the role…at least not yet. “People keep talking about this. I don’t know anything about it. It’s a little bit too soon for that kind of an announcement.” she says.

Biel did Blade Trinity, and that turned into a disaster, I do not think they want her.

Great choice… few people know her exceptional perforances outside of mainstream. Yes, TRINITY WAS a disaster (It was Ryan’s fault)… but few will have seen HOME OF THE BRAVE and the great performance she gave there…
I hope she will eventually sign on… would be a big win for the film!
