THE WOLVERINE stars Hugh Jackman and Rila Fukushima have been spotted filming on-location in Sydney. Production recently set-up shop at the “Chinese Garden of Friendship” for the week. Rila plays the deadly assassin Yukio, who befriends Logan and becomes his dedicated sidekick, of sorts.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, THE WOLVERINE finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
Do you think this film takes place before or after X3?
The not too distant past.
Based off Hughs look so far I am going to assume and hope that it takes place after X3. Would make more sense considering it would give him a reason to go to Japan (ala the comics when he got called away from the team in order to go check on an old lover) Leave the prequel stuff to the First Class bunch.

Before X3? are you kidding me? It’s before X1 after the evnts of XOW..
It will be a sequel to all the films, set post-LAST STAND, and a prequel to DAYS OF THE FUTURE PAST, which itself will be in parts a sequel to the original films.
