Deadline reports that Bryan Singer has recently closed a deal with 20th Century Fox to direct the X-MEN: FIRST CLASS sequel, titled X -MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. Mathew Vaughn dropped out after deciding to film “The Secret Service” for Fox instead; he will likely recieve producer’s credit.
Set to return are the major players from “First Class,” including James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult. Actors from Singer’s original X-MEN trilogy are also planned to reprise their iconic roles for the film, which is said to span multiple time periods and timelines.
Singer had originally planned on directing “First Class,” before switching over as producer and sweet-talking Vaughn into the coveted gig.
Filming begins early next year for a July 18, 2014 release.

I think this is gonna be awesome! I hope he really makes this movie big! Like Avengers.. major eye candy but tells an amazing story like he is so good at doing. I hope Storm and Cyclops have awesome moments in this movie and given special character attintion.
It would be nice to see Rogue get sassy in her southern bell way and kick some butt. I wanna see Storm talk in her African Accent and exude that strong regal presence she is known for. I know Halle can pull it off.

I just hope now that Bryan Singer was set to direct the XFC 2, He can talk to the old cast to join the film and the future x4 if possible..
I do not like the idea of “multiple” timelines… Nor do I like the idea of timetravel.
I fear they will loose focus on the FC cast, and it will turn into a not-true OT, not true FC-Sequel movie…

I’m all for what your saying except that’s not The X-Men should be not only character based but needs to be displayed in a way that shows how big there universe really is. Yes it is heart and soul but it’s also huge, powerful, and limitless as far as where you can go with story and effects. I know Bryan will keep with what he started in X-MEN 1 and 2, but I feel in going forward it also needs to mirror the comics and show how fantastical and huge that universe is. It should and needs to be a mix of the two, You can have both worlds in my opinion. Tiem travel does not mean that the story will be cheapened. After all … Days Of Future Past is still known as one of the most epic X-Men stories of all time. Time travel all over that bitch lol 😉

With this new change, it is unlikely this movie will start production in January. Next Apirl or May is more likely.
