When is the last time Famke Janssen has been to Australia? “I don’t know. I have no idea!” the actress told MTV News, remaining coy, about rumors of her filming a Jean Grey cameo for THE WOLVERINE.
Famke has shown interest in Bryan Singer’s X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, but has not heard anything about her involvement, saying she has been “waiting by the phone” for any potential calls. “It would be very surreal. I would be honored to be a part of any of these X-MEN movies. It would be great.
“She died as Jean Grey and she died as the Phoenix.” she continues. “Is there another incarnation of her that we haven’t seen? I don’t think so,” said the actress. “Bryan Singer is a very smart guy, but if we go younger, I’m out too. I’m all for an interpretation of that on whatever front. I’d be thrilled.
When asked about how the story and her character developed in X-MEN: THE LAST STAND, Famke says “I think we could have done more. To me, it felt like it should have been a WOLVERINE movie, it’s own movie. But there were a lot of other people who needed their screen time for whatever reason.”

yeah, X3 should have been the PHOENIX movie, with Cyclops as a co-leading role and the rest as supporting cast, but no, it ended like Wolverine fest more or less like the previous ones too.
I just hope Singer brokes that formula with this sequel and he starts giving these other x-men more time to shine
Finally someone recognizes what I have been disliking about that movie.
I know wolverine makes an X Men movie to alot of people, but they really need to stretch out other characters.
We all know that she can come back, young old etc. And true, alot could have been done. So I suggest they show more of it in the next film AND also show her in The Wolverine.

Look… Cyclops is boring to the average cinema audience… I mean… he wears glasses, is the average nice guy.
Wolverine is exotic, much more interesting. No matter how important Cyclops was/is in the comics, the movie audience expects X-Men to be focus heavy on Hugh Jackman Wolverine.
Hate it, ignore it… that’s a given fact. Jackman’s charisma adds to it. As long as you want X-films to be successful, accept that Wolverine will play a part in them!
if Famken Janssen would love to be apart of the show but the pore girl didn’t found a place for her character coz she died and there’s no way she could find a place or possible invented a storyline for Jean Grey i don’t know i don’t know what is a pint of view of mrs Shulder donner and the younger Bryan Singer coz Mrs sholder donner is the producer and Bryan is the director so she she could rencarnated in her body again as Jean or i don’t know what is the point of view of Mrs Shoulder donner coz she is the producer so i say all of this is a comentary is a clue for Jean
I have to agree. I love Hugh Jackman and Wolverine is cool but I hate that they always give him the spotlight. Cyclops, Storm, and Jean should have been next in line to get that attention in X-Men 2 and 3 and I feel like they were robbed. Hopefully we will see a change in upcoming X films.
Also, just like to point out, The Wolverine is virtually a X Men 4…
… without the X-Men. 😉

i think i get it is like traveling in the past coz this future movie of Future past is like knowing logen all over again is like a teleporter like this teleportations triping in the past and also in the future so i get it so like Ken said Jean is got to be in the movie coz this girl is old so i get it so no problem
I’m sure in Days of Future Past they can expand on what happened as a result of Phoenix’s crazy stunt at the end of X3. Maybe they can discover the “real” Jean Grey at the bottom of the lake and have her help the team in some way. Hey, they could try to stop everything that occurred in X-Men 3 from happening to prevent a mutant registration act from passing or something.
Yes! That’s actually a brilliant point! Remember how they mention she has dual personalities? Well they can discover it was actually two jeans, one the Phoenix and one jean. Now remember the scenes (practically at the end) where we see jean and not the Phoenix, well that could be jean from the lake taking over her mind. I know this sounds similar to Charles Xavier’s thing, but hey, he could have tout her that as a child. And that could be a flashback in DOTFP!
