Ian McKellen tweeted details about his first day of work on X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST! There are a couple interesting nuggets revealed within his tweets, including the fact that his Magneto won’t wear a helmet in the film, and that he “reassembled” with the Brotherhood of Mutants in a Montreal studio.

I am beyond bummed out that they filmed in a studio. I was looking forward to set pictures. Seeing them on set and in costume would have been so awesome! Hopefully they film outside soon.
He’s not wearing a helmet? I’m pretty sure this happen after the event of X3..
It was like, the event of X3 then to the past.. Then after succeeding to change the past the event of X3 will be forgotten and appears that it didn’t happen at all.. therefore there is a possibility that they gonna revive Cyclops and Jean..
One of my theory is that Professor X came from the future, and Magneto from the present (after X3) , while the first class is from the past.. and for the others, they somehow regroup in each timelines..
They don’t need to ‘erase’ X3 to bring back Jean and Scott. 1) We never saw Scott actually die. 2) They can follow the comics and say the Jean that ‘died’ was actually her clone created by the Phoenix. Solves both problems then and there. Heck, we might not even get that resolved in this movie. They might decide to fix it in the next one.. Cyclops and Phoenix could be brought back into the picture by Sinister or Apocalypse in a different movie. In short, there’s only so much they can do in one movie. We’ll have to wait and see what that ends up being.
Or they just are teaseing the fans somemore about why he does not have his helmet on yet and we can guess some more.
I think Byran Singer has every intention of reviving Jean and Scott. Maybe we get a clue when we see The Wolverine this July.
Seems legit, I mean, we do see him standing in a photo…Maybe they are introducing more than one character….Alternate characters even…
I think assuming that professor is dead and instead of transferring to the twin’s body, Charles transferred his mind back through time.
Charles can do that. They did that with Wolverine and the X-Men, and I think they also did something like that with the 90’s X-Men animation series.
Brotherhood reassemble.. I just imgined Sabretooth, Toad and Piro together with older versions of the ones in first class
I think we all see many familar characters in the movie. Maybe cameo scenes by the same actors who played them. But are not listed in the credits.
