Halle Berry excitingly spoke to Total Film magazine (via CBM) about her involvement with X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST. The actress says that Storm’s role was modified due to her surprise pregnancy, and that there will be something “shocking” about Storm revealed in the film.
Comparing director Bryan Singer to Brett Ratner:
“They’re like apples and oranges, they could not be more different. That’s for sure. The way they work is different. What you feel is different. Not that one is better or worse – they’re just very different. I was so happy to work with Bryan [Singer] again and I think it was nice for everyone to get back together.”
How her pregnancy affected Storm’s role:
“I wasn’t in as much as I was meant to be though. That kind of coloured what my involvement could be, which was why I was one of the first ones in and the first ones out. My ever-growing belly was posing a constant challenge! What I could do was getting more limited so the role that I play is so different from what it could have been, due to my surprise pregnancy.”
Exploring “shocking” revelations about Storm:
“But there’s something very revealing and shocking about Storm in this movie that I thought was needed. There are some things you find out about her that I think give you much more insight into who she is.”
The film’s epic-ness and its strong plot concept:
“I think it’s big because there are so many X-Men in the movie. There’s the young X-Men and there’s the X-Men that started it all off. Just so many X-Men! You’re gonna get to see some more than other, but they’re all there. I think that adds to the bigness of it. The concept of the movie is pretty big too. The urgency is more important this time round. The threat is greater too.”
Storm is a Lesbian, I’m calling it now. Thats what is going to be revealed.

A lesbian/ bi Storm would make for some interesting dialogue and character development tbh.
At comi con she commented how everyone was in a relationship but her and made a joke about storm being asexual. I think her demands of her character and comments here and there this might be whwt shes talking about. Lokk at her hair lol.

I can’t wait! Storm is my favorite character and I’m excited to see what they do. I hate that Halle wasn’t able to be in more of the movie but am very happy for her at the same time of course. It sounds like they’re delving more into her character which I agree with Halle… that has been needed for a while now. Still keeping my fingers crossed that they show Storm wamping on the Sentinels.

she is the first in and first one out.. IS SHE GOING TO DIE FIRST? Is the sentinel caught her first and kill her? I’m not comfortable with the surprises at all.. I hope its a good news.. 😀
Well, I remembered reading the comic books… The Sentinels only apprehended Storm. They didn’t try to kill her.
My other conclusion was Storm got pregnant (hinting with Black Panther’s relationship) and then she got away. But I know it looks like a stupid plot for her. But i’m still curious about small role she had yet very important. Is she really done filming all her scenes?
Maybe Storm is pregnant with Wolverine’s baby!
Filming began April 15th and Halle was seen leaving Montreal on May 3rd…exactly 3 weeks. Not sure if she ever returned.
Patrick Stewart said he filmed all his stuff in 4 1/2 weeks.
What? you mean all scenes of Mr. Stewart? that was a quick shot.. I’m hoping Iceman, Kitty and Rogue has the biggest role from the original cast.
Right now I think they really treasure the XFC cast in this movie, the Original ones are only back up characters except Wolverine.
I think its not so much of what Halle (Storm) can do while she is pregnant, it should be about what can her mutant powers can do to make up for her physical appearance in the movie !!!! nothing should be limited …. this movie should be the best yet to come ….this movie need a lot of action nothing but ….come on people… all characters should be at there best now. Show what the ALL X-Men are truly made of and what they can do with there gifts!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah. This should be action pack movie with 95% action and 5% conversation..
I just wondering why they didn’t use a stunt double for Storm’s fighting and flying scenes. Its easy to fix the problem.
They did use a stunt double for Halle. Halle said herself that her stunt double was very busy in this movie. Sharlene Royer is her stunt double. I think that They will delve into Storm’s Claustrophobia and why she has that fear. May even have flash backs to her past.
Maybe even the fact that she was a thief and worshiped as a Goddess.
Or maybe shes going to have wolverines baby that would be awsome =0 )
Well I believe Halle Berry did state a while back during filming that Storm will still fly, fight and be badass even though she couldn’t do any of her own stunt work like in X3 because of the pregnancy but I also read that Storm was suppose to have a strong pivotal part in this film but only if they filmed it earlier in February before she started to show. My guess is that Storm attacks one of the Sentinels in distraction and either gets killed or captured in the process explaining her exit on screen.
Storm will not die for sure. If you know Xmen or read the comics you will know that storms is one of the very few omega level mutants and is the only character that has had a appearance in every X men comic book since her debut. But I’m sure she will get captured she has gotten captured by sentilnals before. Either the xmen will save here or she will escape with a great fury
Yeah.. I know she will not die in this one.. I think she is the first one who attack the Sentinels and at the same time got captured and experimented by Trask Industries..
I was not enthused to read that Storm’s role is gonna be reduced cause of Halle’s pregnancy cause she is my favorite X-Men character and the film versions of Storm haven’t even touched the surface of what Storm is capable of. I was hoping to see more flying and more action scenes like her flying-spin attack in X3 when she fight Callisto.
I agree if nothing else they could have gotten a double to do her fight scenes this time
Yea Storm is my favorite character and she’s so watered down in the films. She should be in the air all the time and creating all kinds of weather conditions.
