With an “A” Cinemascore and 91% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 195 critics, X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST easily took the number one spot at the box office, earning an estimated $91.4 million domestic over the 3-day weekend from over 4,000 locations. With Memorial Day estimates included, the film raked in over $110.6 million during the 4-day holiday haul. Foreign markets had impressive numbers, earning $191 million for a worldwide total of $301.6 million.

It was barely unable to beat recent superhero additions “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” ($95 million) and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” ($91.6) million, though critical scores were higher.
