Will a DEADPOOL ever happen? That’s the current question going around Hollywood as hopeful star Ryan Reynolds is caught in a bit of a pickle, which includes an extensive line of films that he’s obligated to or in talks for, including Warner Bros. upcoming ‘Green Lantern’ and the sequel which is already being developed. The script by ‘Zombieland’ writers Rhett Rheese and Paul Wernick has earned rave reviews for their brutal and hilarious tale which sees Marvel’s merc with a mouth in his own adventure.
According to Reynolds via Empire Magazine “Deadpool is still in the works. I’m not sure how logistically it works in terms of scheduling, but yeah, I want it to happen.” he says.
Keep your fingers crossed!
why should we want to see this film? That script read like it was done by two cocaine filled crack heads.
Maybe because it was written by two cocaine filled crack heads? 😉
They should continue with FIRST CLASS and the WOLVERINE series first. If there is enough interest, they can still pursue the project.
But fighting on too many fronts could easily lead to franchise fatigue. We have to wait and see how FIRST CLASS will perform. While I have no doubt that THE WOLVERINE will be a smash hit (due to Aronofskys and Jackmans involvment).
Maybe he can do the Deadpool stuff, He’s cool.. But I still want X-men 4 first before anything..
I won’t be sad if they don’t end up making a Deadpool movie…
