SPIDER-MAN 4: Sadie Sink Addresses Jean Grey & X-Men Rumors

Rumors of Sadie Sink being in contention for the role of X-Men powerhouse Jean Grey began late last year, and while we don’t have confirmation on that, we did get confirmation that the Stranger Things actor will star in Sony/Marvel Studios’ untitled Spider-Man 4 for director Destin Daniel Cretton.

Speaking with the Happy Sad Confused podcast while promoting her new project O’Dessa, Sink remained quiet when asked head-on about her upcoming role.

Fans are also theorizing she could be Mary Jane from the multiverse, or even Firestar, a red-headed mutant friend and superhero cohort of Spider-Man.

It probably won’t be too long before we finally find out what role she’s playing, as filming is expected to start later this year for a July 31, 2026 theatrical release.
