Oscar Isaac talks APOCALYPSE costume and powers.

Oscar Isaac has been talking a bit about his upcoming role as the villainous En Sabah Nur in 2016’s X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. The actor confirmed to Yahoo Movies UK that his character will “be a mix” of practical and digital effects. “I haven’t had a script so I haven’t had a chance to look through the script and see what the exact requirements are,” he says, “but I think it’ll be a mixture of physical, aided with some robotic technology.”

Isaac revealed that he was going to get a head cast for the character’s facial practical effects. “You spend 3-4 hours with them putting plaster all over your head and they get a sense of what your face is like and what shape your head is, so they can start figuring out the costume and the make up and all that stuff, which is pretty fun.”

He wasn’t surprised when Patrick Stewart announced that he and Ian McKellen wouldn’t return for the film which takes place primarily in 1983. “We actually haven’t got a script yet,” he says, “so I don’t really know exactly the ins and outs of the story, but I assumed [they] might not be in it, as I knew it was going to be the younger cast – Fassbender, McAvoy, Jen Lawrence – so I imagined they wouldn’t be doing the same thing as they did in the last film.”

When speaking with Coming Soon, Isaac said that while they haven’t “figured out” Apocalypse’s look just yet, he does know that “one of his major powers is being able to change all the molecules in his body. So I’ll be changing all the molecules in my body…it’s gonna be a lot of fun.”
