Taron Egerton will NOT play Cyclops in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Will Ben Hardy?

With ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ coming out soon, many wonder if its star, Taron Egerton will make the transition to Fox’s X-MEN: APOCALYPSE as Cyclops. “I can say I’m not doing X-Men,” he told MTV UK on rumors of him testing for the role. “I love the X-Men films and I love that franchise. I love the people who make them on and off screen, so yeah I’d love to do one day sometime, but in this instance that rumor is unfounded.”

Another rumored actor for Cyclops includes “EastEnders” actor Ben Hardy, who gives Digital Spy a cryptic quote, saying “Er, sorry? Oh well, that’s the rumor. Nothing guaranteed though.”

Filming begins this April in Montreal for a May 27, 2016 theatrical release, so it won’t be too long before fans find out who earned the role, along with those for Jean Grey, Storm and many others.
