The mysterious, interest-piquing FANTASTIC FOUR teaser trailer bested DAYS OF FUTURE PAST as 20th Century Fox’s most viewed trailer on YouTube. The film already has July 2017 scheduled for its sequel. Rumor has it that Fox’s claimed July 13, 2018 date is for an epic crossover with the X-Men.
“The reboot of Fan Four really needed to work in and of itself,” says writer and producer Simon Kinberg to Entertainment Weekly. “We were doing something pretty radical with the tone of the movie. If we wanted to find a way to connect them to the X-Men, we could. There’s a lot of precedent from the comics.”
Director Bryan Singer previously mentioned an idea for a “Marvel mash-up” film but was sparse on details.
I bet the crossover would be me likely if F4 is successful. Which I hope it is. The tone is very eerie and dark from the teaser, but then again it was just the trailer.
I hope this new FF movie suck bad on the box officie so I dont have to worry about this horrible idea of cross over movie. The x-men have lots of characters underuse as it is.
