Even though Tye Sheriden won the role of Cyclops over Ben Hardy in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, it seems that director Bryan Singer is still interested in the “EastEnders” actor. According to The Wrap, the 24 year old is now in talks to appear in the film in an undisclosed role. Early rumors had the actor possibly up for Warren Worthington aka Angel, but the site’s insiders say it’s for another important role that is being kept under wraps.
In fact, Variety says it’s for a character that’s significant to the “X-Men” universe.
Fans strongly feel that it’s for Angel’s darker counterpart, Archangel, who has major ties with the film’s villain.
He will join the existing X-Men cast, along with Sheriden and newcomers Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler and Oscar Isaac as En Sabah Nur.
Filming begins this April for a May 27, 2016 theatrical release.
Angel!
