Bryan Singer shared this behind the scenes photo from recent filming on X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. It shows two unnamed actors portraying the parents of Lucas Till’s Havok and Tye Sheriden’s Cyclops as they “watch the end of the world as they know it unfold on TV,” according to the director.
Fans have been eagerly waiting to see the Summers’ brothers share the screen, so it’s nice for Singer to acknowledge this sibling connection by having their parents show up too.
In the comics, their dad is Major Christopher Summers aka Corsair, leader of the cosmic group known as the Starjammers. It doesn’t appear we’ll see this revelation anytime soon on screen, but it would be a neat way to lead into Fox’s cosmic side of the X-Men universe.
Filming on ‘Apocalypse’ continues through the Summer for a May 27, 2016 theatrical release.
