During its 8th weekend of release in the USA, X-MEN: APOCALYPSE brought in an estimated $276,998 from 250 domestic theaters during the weekend at the American box office; a 32.5% drop from last weekend’s haul of $410k.
Nearing $154.98 million in the USA, “Apocalypse” is currently the 7th highest-grossing X-Men film in the states (8th when taking price inflation into consideration). At this point, it definitely won’t match its production budget of $178 million, locally. To compare, the first “X-Men” in 2000 finished with $157 million, “Days of Future Past” with $233 million and “Deadpool” with $363 million.
International audiences have been a big help for this film, bringing in $378.8 million combined. It opens in Japan on August 11th, giving it a chance to make a little bit more money.
Although it struggled to find positive footing with a majority of critics, general audiences gave it a positive A- Cinemascore. A recent poll we conducted on Twitter also shows that the film has many fans.

i seen it twice, can’t wait for the home entertainment release. my question is with how 2014’s x-men: days of future past turned out “totally awsum movie” like the 1st 3 x-men films never even occured due to the change in time and so-on, it’s almost like the film itself is being rebooted somehow, im already counting the days for the next movie but where are the x-men films going from here though? also really looking forward to hugh jackman’s “finall” wolverine film, really exited about what it’s gonna have to offer and so-on, ive been a fan of hugh jackman’s for years, very big fan. i honestly have to say it’s gonna both sad and a reall shame to see him hang his claws up after this, he’s done this roll for about 17 years now and i honestly can not see any other actor taking his place for any future x-men/wolverine reboots, i wish this wasn’t his last one but i can at the same time understand he probably wants to move onto other things dispite the fact he loves the roll itself and loves playing, he’s a total bad ass :):)
