Another name has been added to the impressive cast of Fox and Marvel’s upcoming GIFTED action-adventure pilot.
According to Variety, 16 year old actress Natalie Alyn Lind (Gotham, The Goldbergs) joins as a series regular, playing Lauren, a “smart, pretty, popular, organized and already ahead on her college applications, she is the model of a perfect kid.”
The pilot and upcoming show based in the X-Men universe will focus on two ordinary parents who discover their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
Lind will portray one of those children.
She joins previously announced actors Stephen Moyer as the father, Reed, Jamie Chung as Blink, Blair Redford as Sam and Sean Teale as a newly-created mutant, Eclipse.
The pilot is being written by showrunner Matt Nix, with longtime X-Men film vet Bryan Singer set to direct. Both Nix and Singer will serve as executive producers, along with Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg and Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.
