Josh Boone’s NEW MUTANTS begins production today in Boston! The director confirmed Monday’s start via social media last night, showing off a “gag gift” from cinematographer Peter Deming. It has the cast of television’s “Growing Pains” (the production’s actual working title) on the clapperboard.
In addition to Boston, the production is reportedly moving to Montreal at its tail end, where X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX is currently filming with Simon Kinberg.
The horror-themed film will feature popular characters such as Magik (Anya Taylor-Joy), Wolfsbane (Maisie Williams), Sunspot (Henry Zaga), Cannonball (Charlie Heaton), Dani Moonstar (Blu Hunt) and Dr. Cecilia Reyes (Alice Braga).
“New Mutants” is due in theaters on April 13, 2018.
