Latest DARK PHOENIX photo shows 1992 Jean Grey on a military base.

Here’s a brand new photo from director Simon Kinberg’s DARK PHOENIX of star Sophie Turner as Jean Grey from the latest issue of Total Film magazine. It features the powerful mutant in her flight suit while on a military base in the 90’s.

In this timeline, the X-Men are (for the time being) celebrated as heroes and work with the government on missions that are too dangerous for normal human beings. It’ll be up to Jean and her team of mutants to save a fleet of astronauts on the edge of space.

“What excites me the most about this movie is the combination of intergalactic cosmic storytelling with real grounded emotional drama,” said Kinberg. “We’ve expressed it differently to what the franchise has ever done and I hope differently to what any movie has ever done.”

Dark Phoenix flies into theaters on June 7, 2019.
