Ryan Reynolds confirms development on DEADPOOL 3 with Marvel Studios.

Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that he’s working on DEADPOOL 3 with Marvel Studios. The actor revealed the exciting (but expected) info on TV’s Live with Kelly and Ryan.

“Yeah, we’re working on it right now, the whole team,” he told hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest. “We’re over at Marvel [Studios] now, which is like the big leagues. It’s kind of crazy, so yeah, we’re working on it.

We’ve known since October that Reynolds met with the overlords at Marvel to discuss future plans for his $1.5 billion money-making merc with a mouth.

In related news, Variety confirms that Emma Watts, Fox film’s former president of production who had a considerable role in the first two films, will not continue to oversee the franchise, which is not too surprising considering the character’s new home under Disney’s Bob Iger and, more notably, Marvel’s Kevin Feige.

Deadpool 3 does not have a release date yet, though 2021 or 2022 is possible depending on the project’s development and how/if it’ll fit within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
