The Academy Award nominated LOGAN was released three years ago today, and Hugh Jackman paid tribute to the film and his legendary 17 year run as Wolverine on his social media.
“3 years ago, on this day, Logan was released. Thank you for the many (and I really mean MANY) years of sweat, steamed chicken and the role of a lifetime,” writes the actor.
It’s hard to imagine anyone besides Jackman in the role, but a recast is inevitable in Marvel Cinematic Universe’s future interpretation of the character as he’s been adamant about having perfect closure with director James Mangold’s film. Of course, that won’t stop Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds from trying to persuade him for many years to come!
THANK YOU HUGH for your dedication to Wolverine! You are forever an icon.
