Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com caught up with Daniel Radcliffe during SXSW and asked him about rumors that he’s being looked at for the role of Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. To be fair, there’s been no legit talk of this actually happening, but a number of fans (including myself) are pointing out how the actor might be a good fit for the role.
“Mate, I don’t know anything about it,” he said. “I appreciate that somebody is clearly going like, ‘Wolverine’s actually short in the comics’, but… I don’t see [Marvel Studios] going from Hugh Jackman to me. Who knows? Prove me wrong, Marvel.”
Let’s hope he is proven wrong!?
Besides being a talented actor in film and on stage, Radcliffe (5’5″) is closer in height to the character (5’3″), and can grow a gnarly beard. Add some bulk and grit, and we’re looking at an interesting Logan Howlett adaption.
Wolverine’s first appearance in the MCU is a big question mark, but with Professor X showing up in MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS (May 6), it can’t be too long before we see other mutants pop up.
