This is really a non-news story. A Twitter user named @BaileyUnspoken tweeted that Halle Bailey (The Little Mermaid) will star as the mutant Kitty Pryde in an upcoming X-Men film, providing Variety as the source – even though a provided link included nothing on the casting.
“This is not true lmao,” responded the singer and actor addressing the rumor. Considering the person has “Bailey” in their user name, it seems this was just wishful thinking (which makes absolutely no sense) on their part.
That said, if we were casting mutants in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we think Bailey fits best with Jean Grey, M, or even a petite Storm. 😁
