Hugh Jackman gave fans an update about THE WOLVERINE movie during a surprise appearance at the San Diego Comic Con. “I’ll be filming WOLVERINE 2 in October.” said Jackman. “Christopher McQuarrie has written a fantastic script and it should turn out really good.” The star revealed a villain that many fans have been waiting to see on the big screen…THE SILVER SAMURAI! “I’ll fight the Silver Samurai in it so that should be exciting.”
Silver Samurai will be portrayed as the brother of Logan’s Japanese girlfriend. He is ordered by his father to kill him.
Filming is expected to take place in Japan for a possible 2012 release. 20th Century Fox has yet to officially announce a director or release date for the project, though 3:10 to Yuma’s James Mangold is reportedly taking the reigns after Darren Aronofsky left the project.
